Members Navigate at Four Corners Workshop
Participants opted for any three of four 20-minute workshops: Northeast Corner: Fiction Workshop coordinated by Guild vice president and well-known author Yvonne Nelson Perry; as a faculty member at the annual Santa Barbara Writers Conference, she's noted for an enthusiastic approach to the dynamics of fiction. Southeast Corner: Peg Lipscomb-Kazwara led this Nonfiction exercise, featuring tips on editing, publishing, agenting, marketing and publishing, with non-stop questions from group members. Southwest Corner: Clare Hsu Accomando, author of the best-selling memoir "Love and Rutabagas," led this workshop on Memoirs; she fielded a vast array of inquiries including a few on geneology research. Northwest Corner: TWL columnist Laurie Richards sparked her Writing Tips discussion with an innovative handout, "Anatomy of a Revision for Non-Fiction."
