Wow! What a meeting. It took a while to get into the room. We had another meeting conflict...there is a new scheduler at the Joyce Beers Center...President Peggy handled it with firm aplomb. Firmly...we were there first, kindly, it got a little prickly but the problem was solved when the restaurant next door offered room to the Young Democrats. Marti Emerald, late of Channel 10 News was their speaker that night...she is running for Councilwomen from the College District.

Then we had to sweat out the problem of the speaker not being there...but she showed up in the nick of time...and was everything we had hoped she would be.
