July 2007 Meeting Highlights ...
Chet Cunningham, Author of 309 Books
Chester Grant "Chet" Cunningham dropped by the July Guild membership meeting to chat with SDW/EG members, guests and friends wanting to share his prolific joy of writing. Cunningham's 299th novel,"The Mystery at Hamlin Springs" (Five Star Mysteries) is scheduled for an October '08 launch. Immediately recognized, the speaker fielded questions; he is officially known, in the parlance of his 2003 LOLA (Local Author Lifetime Achievement) Award from the San Diego Public Library as a "distinguished writer whose work has provided significant enrichment to the San Diego community." A modest man of relentless discipline, drive and meticulous research, this Columbia University Journalism School graduate and Korean War veteran is affectionately regarded by friends, students and competitors as a first edition.
